“The Doctor Is OUT!” p15
I love a good callback. And this week’s has two for the price of one!
Remember a few pages back? And of course, the whole laser canon saga?
Eli and Demonatrix almost civil to one another? Is it the apocalypse already? Or is there something else between these two?
Pay attention to this page — because it’s important later!
And also, as promised…. this week’s big announcement: THE HERO BUSINESS: SEASON TWO is coming to Kickstarter October 15th! I’ll have lots of cool rewards and incentives to kick in! Stay tuned!
It’s not the size of the laser cannon that counts. It’s the kilowattage!
size is all well and good, but if it doesn’t have the proper power supply it’s just one shot and recharge
indeed!
Heh. Wouldn’t it be a joke if Malefactor WAS the father of Parker? Though that wouldn’t explain why she is so… good?
I’ll just say…. answers are coming soon!
Perhaps she only knew her father works at The Hero Business and so believes him to be a Hero and is trying to live up to him.
A lot of perhapses ; )
Primstone’s expression in panel 4. Priceless.
Hoping to do more with that guy.
Here, it’s more because he has the flapped expression when he’s usually the one flapping others.
Yeah you rarely see him so vexed.
So, who else reads Malefactor’s lines with a Vincent Price voice?
Now that you said that I do.
that’s interesting.
I am rather severy calling this now. Eli did sabotage the movie. He played a long con and everything we have seen is to publicly, in front of a witness, establish his innocence. Think about it, sabotage happens, he’s the suspect, gets put on mandatory leave. Decodes to go to “his” planet where it just so happen Dr Duplo is scamming fellow villians, using a scam ethe Doc did better. I think we just saw how dangerous the Doc really is. He just got a paid vacation, disgraced his rival, whose disgrace would have tanked the movie which means Bravo gets embarrassed, not even mentioning everyone involved, including Morgan, now either owes him or at the very least is impressed by him. Yeah, Eli just managed to fool all of the people the entire time. To hell with the laser rifle. The Doc is who everyone should be afraid of.
Well said! Makes you wonder how Bravado ever managed to defeat him!
So much later I’ll state the obvious, whether or not this is also innuendo, there is a laser canon. I think that’s pretty defining for Eli before innuendo gets involved. In his case, that is for him personally, the innuendo is incidental.
Harry Dresden after being called out on the phallucism (yeah spelling?) of his wand and staff tools: “*holding out said objects* They make me feel manly.” I can’t remember which book that was.
“How Eli Got His Grove Back” ; )
That conversation is hilarious.
Also, what is up with Demonatrix’s bathing suit?
what there is of it!
