“Bad For Business” p05
FOCUS, Bravado! Your “performance review” can take a back seat, the company is under siege!
Bravado’s kinky dating history with Demonatrix was hinted way back in the second storyline.
And in the third storyline, we learned about the Eli-Demonatrix hook-up from Eli and then Demonatrix herself.
As Facebook would say, “it’s complicated!”
Also, Parker’s Superpals proposal was cooked up in storyline five, remember?
Next week: Another HB style twist!
Discussion (16) ¬
I know that this isn’t anime but panel five would be filled with sweatdrops.
ha! It totally would have.
OH……THAT’S how Bravado and Demonatrix dated….
Also, to paraphrase “Patton”: Parker, you magnificent bus stop!
getting your supervisors to vett your evil takeover plot… now that’s truly underhanded and evil… clearly she learned from the best.
That last panel… wow. Clearly Bravado has not yet manifested super modesty.
His name’s Bravado! I’d think if he had one weakness, it’d be green modestite.
I see a hint from Parker of something with the:
“With that, My Li–
My Mother Talked…”
What does the almost said “Li–” mean?
Hmm. Is the Daughter as double crossing as the Mother? WILL she double Cross her Mother??? In which case I am looking forward to next week. – Oh I guess I would be anyway..Huh.. My bad.. !
I think she was about to say Liege…
Huh, yeah, I think you’re right…
I think you’re right. That might indicate that Parker’s participation in this plot might not be as voluntary as appearances indicate.
I was intrigued by Parker’s momentary Freudian slip there myself. You know what Sigmund Freud would say about that, don’t you? “That’s very interesting, but we’re out of time. Be sure to pay your bill on the way out, and set up an appointment for next week.”
I also find it notable that her behavior, as someone pointed out just ahead of me here, is so far off observed baseline. A spell gone awry? Did she get twisted up by her mom? Or is she really a consummate actress all this time?
Here’s my theory: Parker (here) isn’t actually Parker, but instead is one of Demonatrix’s minions under a magical disguise (thus the verbal slip). The real Parker stole the Demonomicon to keep it out of her mother’s hands, either as a bargaining chip or to prevent something even worse from happening.
Interesting… and Primstone has used the “my liege” line before.
I just rechecked it, and on page 1 Parker is not wearing any tights. This “Parker” is. Also that smile just doesn’t seem right to me. I want to see what real Parker is going to do.

Well, James Bond never had to choose between having his personal performance appraised – excellent stamina, a cunning linguist, etc. – and saving both the service and the country, nay, the whole world, from being under siege.
Oh, the things he did for England …
