“Bad For Business” p18
This week, Parker provides her own P.O.V. on some pivotal Hero Business events…. and it looks like we only got part of the story!
Panel 1, we see why Morgan took to Parker so quickly. Those pencils skirts paid for themselves, didn’t they? There’s a theory that people basically “hire themselves.” Parker’s a crafty one, she is.
Panel 2 puts new context onto this little exchange!
Panel 3 explains why Parker stole that spell book. And also shows why she had a soft spot for Simon’s family-driven machinations.
And Panel 4 puts a whole new spin on this scene. Trust us, Parker, your day is about to get a LOT WORSE.
We warned you, Heroites…. lots of surprises and revelations in this storyline! And we’re still not done– ; )
So Louie does fake backgrounds, eh? So now we add a former henchman turned bartender to the mix? Or was Louie a supervillain in his own right?
Oh yeah, “Louie The Lounge Lizard” was the “horrific hepcat of the underworld.” A villain in his own right. But he’s gone straight now (mostly).
I guess times got hard for Louie when they stopped putting those Hostess Fruit Pies ads in comics. Can’t blame him for getting out of the business.
Do you mean MOSTESS Fruit Pies?!?! ; ) http://www.theherobiz.com/2013/11/15/comic/episode-5-simon-sayeth/simonsayeth08/
Of course, my mistake.
……..Ah, NOW I get it.
Also, that’s a pencil skirt?
Nah. Panel 4 doesn’t change the spin. Mondays are still a real bitch. :/
heh, too true~!
Hm. The only thing left to explain is what happened with that proposal Parker wrote that turned into a pitch by Infernal Enterprises.
Definitely liking what I’m reading. 😀
Okay I just noticed it, is there some sort of “evil books are read backwards” thing apart from justifying being able to read dismemberment, demonic portals and death stare before concealment?
I thought she just jumped to the wrong page and was working backwards to the right one.
That’s it exactly, Lurk Man. Plus, “d” worded spells are more ominous than “c” worded spells. ; )
Okay, I knew the plus part played into it, but yeah, didn’t consider the first part.
Now it’s starting to make sense! All of this has been building since the first strip!
