Coffee Break #25: “How To Say Holiday”
Here’s your Hero Business Holiday Bonus comic, just as promised! It’s not easy to create a non-denominational holiday card! I had fun researching this one – and if you can name the origins of all the faux holidays, I tip my Santa hat to you!
Next week, we’re on holiday hiatus, but then return to resume the “Cry, Malefactor” story arc on January 5th!
Happy Holidays Life Day, Heroites! Hope it’s a super one!
You left out Robonadon, Robonza, and Snowflake Day. :p
There’s even more than that — I decided on a cross-section of different sub-geek-cultures. ; )
Thank’s for not forgetting my holiday, Hero Biz !, Yub Nub
Drat, I could only identify two of those. I must now hand in my nerd card.
On my favourite blog today, the holiday greeting was “HAPPY EVERYTHING!” You just can’t get more inclusive than that.
I can’t believe it! You forgot Hogswatch Day!
I had a LONG list, and Hogswatch was on it…. but I only had so much room! : )
It’s all about Hogswatchnight.
MLP: FiM for one =D
Seeing that was awesome, especially so soon after the episode.
In Japan, where almost no-one is a Christian, everyone wishes you a Merry Christmas
Pon Farr is Star Trek related, right?
Yup– Vulcans in heat!
Good one with this strip. Am I glad most people in this day and age know how to say Happy Holidays.
BTW, the fancast is up if you want to see it.
awesome— I will take a look!
You forgot Mother’s Night.
Well, there was a bunch I had to leave off due to space contraints…. 🙂
Happy Holidays – this strip is one of the things that made reading comics better this year, Bill. I hope we see more of Morgan’s background; she’s an interesting character, seems to be old friends with some of your heroines?
She was the prep school roommate of Glamazon. Best I can think of.
Yeah, I saw that, that’s what I was wondering about.
Yup, Morgan (and Glamazon) are at the center of our next storyline, entitled “Frenemy Mine!”
You forgot Yule, and Jul.
Yup, I can fill 5 more strips with faux holidays. ; )
You could just say that their included under “twelve unique variations on Solstice”, because that’s pretty much what they are.
How about Shaving Yaksmas? I can’t be the only person who remembers Ren & Stimpy!
I thought pon farr was only celebrated by the slash fandom?
…I know, like, all of these. 😐
Oh you poor thing. You’ve seen it, haven’t you. The Star Wars Christmas/Life Day special.
LOL, that I have!
