Morgan, honey, the Chicago Manual of Style gave its blessing to split Infinitives around the time you were born. You need to let this one go (I was tempted to split that one but I was strong 🙂 )
I just read through your comic in two days. Yay me! I got here from Frankenstein Superstar, which I got to from Pulse and Magellan. Complicated linking is fun.
Anyways, I second comments about this being similar to Evil Inc. It’s like the heroic version but, thankfully, never comes off as a ripoff. It’s its own animal, and Parker very quickly deviated from my idea of “she’s the Lightning Lady of this comic.” But the dynamic here means that if you can ever get together with Brad Guigar for a crossover, things would work very well together (I can imagine the two organizations getting together to plan battles for maximum revenue).
On to the page itself: I hold a BA in English and I like to flagrantly violate stupid grammatical rules. It’s only a rule because it’s a rule in Latin–where it’s impossible to split an infinitive. Also: ending a sentence in a preposition–why not? It’s much better than shoving more words into your speech to try and make it work “properly”.
Tell us how you REALLY feel, Morgan.
why I never! those books are all 100% unbiased and factual accounts!

haha, I think Morgan went to one of those prestigious classic boarding schools.
Morgan=the perfect example of a walking, talking PR paradox.
Um, I feel this is supposed to be a BUM BUM BUUUM moment, but I just have to chuckle at the idea of Morgan saying “Because She’s my BEST FRIEND !”
Oh, you’re supposed to chuckle. 🙂 Their friendship can be classified as “it’s complicated”
Not as complicated as some of the greater celebrity friendships–look at Krusty the Klown and Sideshow Bob.

Never, EVER ignore the split infinitive!
Nice start Bill! That book cover is a hoot! I really like your first panel, nicely done!
Thanks!
