I think page 11 needs one of these.
So mid-story I deliver another Hero Business style shocker!! I think a lot of people might have known Hex Kitten was going to crash Glamazon’s book party, but did anyone guess exactly how she’d arrive?!?
And yup, this has been planned all along. Hex Kitten “appeared” in our very first storyline for this reason, complete with the same coloring as Morgan. There’s also this little nugget of information that could drive a future story. And of course, some foreshadowing in this very storyline — on page 3 and page 9. Did you catch ’em, Heroites?!?
I really think this puts a whole new spin on Morgan’s character, and it’s definitely something we’ll explore moving forward. In my early Hero Business drafts, there was always this exact scene — Morgan being outed in front of friends, clients and co-workers… and I’m thrilled to finally share it with y’all.
A few more revelations next week… where the fur really starts to fly! Buckle up, Heroites, we’re in for a bumpy ride!

I saw it coming the moment Morgan said Hex Kitten was off the radar that she’d be making an appearance and then I noticed they looked a little similar. …Loving how Morgan had a thing for Fowler and was secretly a catperson.
I am interested in finding out just HOW she became HK

What?! I was totally blindsided by that one. I figured she was just a canny businesswoman. I really love the range of facial expressions in the last scene!

Totally took me by surprise… BUT. How exactly did her transformation damage the hem of her dress?! I mean, seriously, clothing damage even before any fight happened?! You guys take sillier and sillier excuses to draw fanservice… ;P

I’m normally pretty dense about this sort of thing – I’ve even been called Captain Oblivious on occasion (yes, you can use that name if you like it!) – but this time I actually suspected this!
I wasn’t sure, though, so I didn’t say anything. I can’t claim that I “called it”.

Well to be fair, i wasn’t TOTALLY buffaloed. I know something was about to fit the shan involving hex kitten, just not of this magnitude. and yes, now that I look back at the color cues, it seems so blatantly obvious.
Interesting. I do wonder how this comes about though. Its possible its a willed transformation, though there are a few other options. Given how detail oriented, organized, and work driven Morgan is, the Hex Kitten aspect could be a Jekyll/Hyde style transformation. Could also be dissociative identity disorder of some sort. If that turns out to be the case, Morgan might not even be aware that she is Hex Kitten. However it works out, it seems that having to deal with Glamazon in this manner (routine snarky comments about how dull Morgan is, boyfriend stealing, etc) for longer periods of time may draw it out of Morgan. That would explain why Hex Kitten vanished; not living with Glamazon, no trigger/desire for Hex Kitten. Very interested to see where this goes!

I’ll be honest, I didn’t see it coming. I knew you were going somewhere with them being friends and maybe there being a reason at some point for the animosity between HK and Glamazon but not crossing the two directly.
The great news is we should be getting an origin story! We get to see if she was born with the ability to become Hex Kitten or something happened to her to force a change!

Hmm, my least favorite type of plot twist, at least it’s well delivered, hope this doesn’t turn into one of those sappy, “I only did that because you did that,” “I only did that to save you from that (usually something like, embarrassing yourself)” situations. I quite prefered Morgan as a human/normal among superhumans, though, sigh. Guess i’ll just have to keep reading.
