Secret Santa Swap: Part 1
Last year I participated in the Collective of Heroes Secret Santa Swap. And this year, I’ve got more goodies to share!
Ace creator Shawn Gustafson had a genius idea this year: Each guest piece should feature at least one character from the creator’s own comic, and at least one from the recipient’s comic engaged in some sort of holiday activity together.
Check out my Secret Santa gift right here, from Scott Bachmann & Scott Simmons of Our Super Mom. I love this one, playing off the ol’ team-up trope. And I especially love all the little touches in the last panel, with some fun character interactions from both our worlds. This piece is a whole load of fun, so thanks fellas!
Tomorrow I’ll share another piece from yours truly.
Happy Holidays!
When I penned the script, I left the last panel completely up to Scott Simmons, the artist. The only description was rooftop party in the background, use any character from either comic that you want. S the little background bits are all Simmons.
I really love playing in the Hero Biz universe. Mostly because I love to skewer comic tropes and love Bill’s sense of humor.
My favorite thing though is the character mostly off panel on the left. She hasn’t even debuted in my comic yet, and she’s cameoing already! Rollergirl vigilantes for the win!
