Simon Sayeth Alternate Cover
This week, we’re looking at an ALTERNATE cover to the fifth Hero Business collection “Simon Sayeth”, on sale soon! As usual, I do an homage to a famous comic book cover. For this issue, I was inspired by New Mutants #87, by Rob Liefeld and Todd McFarlane, which I posted last week.
But I was ALSO inspired by the classic Creepy #1 by Jack Davis, especially with the supernatural elements of the storyline. Here’s the original cover:
What do you think, Heroites? Which cover do YOU prefer?
In other news, convention season rages on, and be sure to look me up at next week’s Boston Comic Con on August 8-10th if you’re in the neighborhood. I’ll also be hosting the WEBCOMICS PANEL at the show:
Waterfront Ball Room 1 (Fri, August 8th)
4pm: Webcomics Panel
Danielle Corsetto, Yale Stewart, Tak Toyoshima, Bill Walko
THEN, it’s the Connecticut Comic Con on August 15-17th! Which looks to be a fantastic show this year!
Stop by and see what’s new with the biz!
Well, her tagline doesn’t really fit this way, but otherwise, I like it.
I actually like the alternate cover better. I agree that Parker’s line doesn’t work as well, though.
Both covers are fun. But my vote, for what it’s worth (please don’t answer that!), goes to the first one. I think the first cover being more “in your face” gives it more punch and energy.
