Temp Month Entry #22: “Disarray Dismay”
Temp Month continues — where you’ll be treated to different takes on the Hero Business universe through a series of special creators.
For this week’s entry, Sean McFarland introduces a new villain: General Disarray (how can you not LOVE that name?)
Sean is one of the featured “The Line It Is Drawn” artists on Comic Book Resources’ “Comics Should Be Good.” You can also see more of his work on his DeviantArt page.
One more Temp Entry coming next week! And then it’s a wrap.

Love that character design and name. It’s a hit!
General Disarray may just be an even funnier name than, dare I say, Colonel Klink!
I see no issue with phase 3. I can’t believe it didn’t work
Wait til you meet his subordinates, General Nuisance and Corporal Punishment!
I would rather deal with Major Muddle or even Captain Chaos to be honest
LOL, this can go on and on…
Isn’t General Disarray from South Park?
Yeah, I love that name just as much now as I did when South Park thought it up over a decade ago.
I though General Disarray was Professor Chaos’s(Butter’s) minion.
Elfguy, you forgot Major Pain.
At least the good general is trying to be upbeat about it. He could easily have slipped into being all gloom… and doom. };)
But is not Doom a Marvel villain and the Gloom IIRC was a mutant.
So…is there a comment policy posted somewhere that specifies that the comments section is strictly a love-in? If so, could someone please direct me to it? I ask, because I made, all in what is popularly known as “polite” language, an observation about this comic regarding the originality of a certain villain’s name which did not make it through moderation. If I committed a faux pas, then I’d like to know the exact nature of my transgression so as to avoid doing so again in the future.
No such filters exist here, just a screening process for spammers! I was not aware of the General Disarray character from South Park (I don’t believe Sean was either). It’s not uncommon for two people to think of the same pun. Hope you enjoyed the comic regardless! 😀
I’ll buy that neither you nor Sean were aware that “General Disarray” was used on “South Park” some years back.
But are you both equally unaware of this General’s striking similarity — both in appearance and backstory — to Baron Werner Underbheit from “The Venture Bros.?”
Sean’s inspiration was largely Dr. Doom, who inspired Baron Werner Underbheit.
Hey — maybe there’s a sequel to this where the characters battle over copy right infringement on military-themed tin-plated despots of small European nations? 😀 😀
