“The Doctor Is OUT!” p20
I warned you. What a way to end an episode, eh?
I told you we’d need the drama button this week. Heck, we might need two!
So, OK. I’ve have a bonus Hero Business or two before the holidays, while I’m working on the tenth storyline, which is the SEASON TWO finale. BIG THINGS ARE HAPPENING. Speaking of which…
It’s the LAST HOURS of the SEASON TWO Kickstarter. I’ve seen some familiar names, but of our thousands of HB readers, only a small percentage have actually pledged.
Time for a little Indie Comics Realness: The future of the biz rides on the success of this campaign, so every bit helps. As a webcomic creator, these crowdfunders are essential in keeping the lights on.
If you’ve already pledged, THANK YOU SO MUCH! If you haven’t, and you’ve been enjoying the comic, please check it out and kick in — any amount — if you can! THE CAMPAIGN ENDS AT MIDNIGHT EASTERN STANDARD TIME.
dun dun duuuuuuuuuuuuunope, don’t buy it.
the signs where a lil too obvious and the herring this lovely shade of crimson for this to be the reveal xD
nice chapter ending, though 😀
I’m largely with you, though Demonica does look really chargrinned at this. And this would be something she would have fought tooth and nail to hide up to now.
WOW! I thought it was Eli… & I was Rooting for the evil Dr., also. Looking at the top however, I see “EPILOGUE ONE”. H.B. C.E.O. has a tendency to have more than one, usually… so I still have hope.
That would go a long way towards explaining her continued slide into virtue in spite of her Mom’s best efforts. ^_^
Personally, I still go with Eli, there was too much of a spark between them to say Bravado is the father. It just doesn’t seem “dun dun dun” to me.
No—that’s not true—That’s impossible!!!
There are a couple hints in story history, 1 for Bravado & 1 for Malefactor. Not guessing at all… I’m letting H.B. C.E.O. do the Real reveal. But no idea if that’s in “EPILOGUE TWO”, or the upcoming Episode 10!
My bad, guys, but this episode only has ONE EPILOGUE. This is it, until episode 10.
Well, that’s fair. I’m not saying you couldn’t do it, but it’d be hard to follow up with anything that wasn’t anti-climatic.
The only way to top it off with a second epilogue would be for her real father to already know she’s his daughter and it’s not Bravado nor the bad doctor and is a third party whose identity isn’t revealed yet!
Oh, great. Now I’m imaging Demonatrix cuddling with the daddy the morning after only to have Major Spoiler tell her, “You’re pregnant.”
Called it either Bravado or Dr. Eli which would explain why she’s so good and her brother isn’t (he does take after their mom after all). But now I’m even more curious if this is just Demonatrix way of getting her daughter off her back once and for all and just giving her a false truth (meaning her father could still be a superhero Demonatrix just chose Bravado because she works with him) or if this is the absolute truth then what will that mean for Bravado’s relationship with his girlfriend when he finds out.
You know, mommy dearest also has another child. Wanna bet Eli is the daddy?
So, will the next episode have a new female intern/character who has the hots for Eli, with a reveal she’s the avatar of a certain stood up lair program? All good shippers may now weigh anchor and set sail.
Oh, I love that idea!
Didn’t Trixie once swap bodies with Demonatrix because she thought Dem was trying to seduce Bravado? That WOULD be embarassing for Demonatrix – to get knocked up while someone else was using her body!
And Trixie is flakey enough to do that! ^_^
And the true Irony is that Dem already DID seduce Bravado. Also Bravado did know about that service that wipes significant others minds. You don’t know about something like that if you’ve never needed it, which he has, evidently more than once.
Hmm. Still kinda hoping it turns out to actually be Malefactor… I think that would make a more interesting father/daughter dynamic and besides, Demonatrix is a demon after all… she could well be lying.
Seems more likely that Malefactor is the father of her son. After all, from what little we’ve seen of him, he is more of their type than his sister.
Very true. And Deus Ex Machina *did* say that the revelation of Parker’s father would shake the foundations of the universe. I don’t see that sort of reaction with Eli being her father unless there’s a greater antagonism between techos and magic based supers then we have seen. I’d picture the public reaction there as being “So she came about because two supervillains got it on? Meh. What’s for lunch?”.
A superhero with a boy scout image getting it on with a demonic supervillainess on the other hand *would* be grounds for scandal even if it still seems as if Deus might have overestimated the overall impact of such news getting out. ^_^
