Rough Mondays: Work Process

For today’s “Rough Monday,” here’s a little inside look at how I work. First, I write the strip and figure out the basics of script and balloon placement (this often changes as I go):

Then, I refine the pencils and push the character poses and expressions:

Then I scan the pencils and ink/color digitally with the sent-from-heaven Wacom Tablet.
